01
Make it yours
Colours live in Assets › Styles: /bg, /ink, /muted, /line and one accent per story. Each has a Light and a Dark value, so the site follows the visitor's system theme on its own. Type lives in text styles — change the font in one style and every page updates. The wordmark is a text layer inside the Top bar and Top bar mobile components.
02
The eight home stories
Home spreads is one component with 8 desktop and 8 mobile variants. Open it from Assets › Components and select a variant to swap its photos and texts — every plate holds the 8 photos in story order. Each “Open the story” link already points at the matching item in the Stories CMS.
03
How the one-screen scroll works
The home page is a sticky Stage (100vh) followed by eight Step sections, 40vh each. Every Step has a Scroll Variant effect that switches Home spreads to its variant when the Step reaches the viewport, so the page re-typesets instead of moving. To add a ninth layout, duplicate variant 08 (Ctrl+D), duplicate the last Step and point its effect at the new variant — on desktop and on mobile.
04
Stories and Journal
Both are CMS collections. Add an item, fill the fields and set Next story / Next entry so the loop keeps going. The Stories list shows 8 rows and the Journal 5, so every page fits one screen — put older entries on a second page such as /stories/archive rather than making the list scroll.
05
The contact form
The form on /contact is Framer's native form, no code. Select it and choose where submissions go under Send to: your email, a webhook or a connected tool.
06
Images
Plate A is 3:4 and at least 1600 px tall, plate B is 4:3, plate C is 1:1. Upload JPG rather than PNG — the photos are large, and smaller files keep the scroll smooth.
07
Before you publish
In Site settings, set the title, description, social image (1200 × 630) and favicon. Then delete this /guide page, or turn off search indexing in its page settings.
