he regional trains in the south stop everywhere, and that is the point. I bought a three-week pass and no return ticket.

I photographed from the window first, then from the platforms, and finally from the cafés beside the stations, where everybody waits for the same delayed train.

By the second week I stopped planning. I got off wherever the light looked right and found a bed before dark. Half of Tomato Season and all of Limoni came out of those days.
