Plate 01 — Black on white
After rain there is no horizon on the salt. The sky lies on the ground, and every step is a reflection.
Plate 02 — The mirror hour
Two days
We drove out before sunrise and waited for the wind to drop. When it did, the water on the flat turned into a mirror for about an hour.
One black dress, cut long so it would drag through the water. No props and no colour — the desert did the rest.
Plate 04 — A hem in the water
Plate 03 — Before the wind
“We walked for an hour and the horizon never came closer.”
— Inès Moreau
Plate 06 — Tracks
Notes
Shot on a Hasselblad 500C/M with a 50mm lens, Kodak Tri-X 400, developed and printed in Paris.
